Youtube Search: Animation

I typed the keyword "animation" on youtube, and the result showed this video. It has 4 and a half stars rating and has been viewed 2,252,975 times. Well, I don't think that this animation deserved 4 and a half stars. Three and a half would be more suitable for this animation. Hmm... wanna give some thoughts on it?

Chindogu: The Strange Invention

Kenji Kawakami is the author of "101 Unuseless Japanese Inventions", the book that shows the "strange" inventions. Inside the book, we can see lots of funny inventions or the invention that we think not necessary to be made. However, this "Unuseless Inventions", as called by Kenji Kawakami, is offering something important: it's offering people to see something in different perspectives. He said that these "Strange Tools" or called "Chindogu" in Japanese is more than an invention. It's a state of mind by forcing us grapple with absurdity. And by that kind of concept, he's trying to alter people's mind by appraising the unconventional things. He has invented more than 700 Chindogu. Here's some example of Chindogu:

"Noodle Cooler"

And here's a video from the Japanese local television...

Kenji Kawakami was born in 1946 in Nara Prefecture Near Tokyo. He's a college dropout from Tokai University majoring in Aerospace. He got the idea of "Chindogu" from regular brain training to think outside the box, observing things and watching daily inconveniences that people experience. He wrote down rules for creating Chindogu:
1. A chindogu cannot be for real use
2. A Chindogu must exist
3. Inherent in every Chindogu is the spirit of anarchy
4. Chindogu are tools for everyday life
5. Chindogu are not for sale
6. Humor must be not the sole reason for creating Chindogu
7. Chindogu are not propaganda
8. Chindogu are never taboo
9. Chindogu cannot be patented
10. Chindogu are without prejudice
Sounds fun isn't it? For more information, click here for the website.
